It looks like in the movie. Why should I buy LEGO instead of a model kit? Is there even appeal for the manchild audience when there is NOTHING unique about this set?

Bro, the paper bags are plastic lined and that's why they are hard to open, these can not be recycled down the in NZ so why do they do it, they have thinner plastic than the plastic bags and it can separate when wet so hope they do not find there way into our oceans.

There is a lot of stuff in this Lego set.

Next to orthanc it doesn’t look right. Too short, I know they have it keep it relatively play scale etc but they should’ve made it noticeably taller than their Lego orthanc. Side by side I don’t like how they look

Starship collection from star wars one of greatest idea i realy want to see miniscale venator. Go them all and millennium and star destroyer are awesome. And great minifigure for sw funs on theire working deck

While the set is very detailed, its also very fragile. I've had mine collapse into rubble 3 times while building it. There's far too many pieces being held on by only one stud. Having to build it on the stand was a horrible idea as the stand falls apart very easily, the wing sections can slide off of the pegs causing disaster, and there's no locking mechanism to keep them on. With the weight of the wing, this is a huge oversight. After having to put it back together 3-4 times, I now have several pieces left over that I have no idea where they go. Its a beautiful build once its done but just the thought of moving it from the table to a display area makes me very nervous.

The 3 stickers in a $15 set, the terrible off-white printed doors, the ugly stacked plates on the back half of the cabin, the minifigures (which aren’t even upgrades from 4 privet drive) needing to raise their arms to close the door… I personally just don’t see a reason to like this set. Yet I do… charming.

I thought you only do theme park tycoon 2 I didn’t know you did Lego! So cool Lego is my favorite toy!

I am currently in the process of building this massive set, and I actually don't mind all the studs. Some areas like the bridge could've had some jumper plates and tiles to smooth it out a bit, but for the rocks leave that untiled, it makes it look more like rocks and jagged. While I'm not a huge fan of the color choices for the rocky terrain in this set, it's nothing bad, I just wish they sprinkled in some browns, mostly dark brown since that's the color of Orodruin, aka Mount Doom, and Barad-Dûr is not too far from the mountain of fire. If I could make a change to this set, I'd replace those unnecessary greys with light and dark browns, and also replace the tan with browns, to help keep the dark evil fortress feel, while still breaking up all the black, and staying close to the films in appearance, although we never get too close of a look at Barad-Dûr in light, so the inclusion of the greys makes some sense since the closest we get to see of the tower, is at night in The Two Towers.

Always love this channel! I’ve watched every review. Revisited this one because I just bought this set. Does anyone know if every copy of a particular set always has the same selection of extra pieces? I’m only asking because I have different extra pieces than the ones shown in this video.

As someone who grew up in the 90's with the show, I absolutely adore this set. The ONLY thing I do NOT like is the letters on top. The earlier concept of it where the letters were on the front was better IMO, but I get why they decided to change it. I just don't like it. Is it worth 300€? No. But with double VIP or a direct discount, absolutely.

'cause otherwise you would have read the books. In which case you WOULD know all the 4 House Ghosts. It's OK. You're a "fan of the films". I'm a fan of Lucas-Star Wars - meaning Episodes 1-6 - but that's it. And considering there's now more bad Star Wars content than good, I can't call myself a "Star Wars fan" anymore.)

I bought this set recently and along with the Super Star Destroyer I love it, it's a sad fact that as I got older and more financially comfortable whilst I can afford the more expensive sets I don't have the space to display them where I want to, my UCS Millennium Falcon and AT AT are stuck in the corner of my mini gym in the loft and my Venator is still in the box. These smaller sets are great for me, looking forward to C3P0 and the new Star Destroyer sets.

I'm so stoked I was able to get two of these battle packs for around $12 each and Paz Vizsla vs Moff Gideon for around $24. I don't agree about the black heads for unnamed helmeted characters though as I actually love those rather than having generic faces, which don't have hair pieces anyways so they look plain weird when the helmet is off, especially women. Like an army of generic bald people. The other reason why I like black heads more is when the helmet is on I hate seeing flesh tones around the neck and in the helmet holes so the black head is much more realistic in that sense.
